Brown Rice Recipe And Methods To Cook.

Some people say that brown rice is less delicious than organic white rice. Most people complain that the grains are too heavy, chewy, or sticky. However, brown rice takes a bit longer to cook and more patience. But, ultimately, they are healthier than organic white rice and more beneficial to body. They are full of nutrition’s like vitamin, magnesium and iron. There are many recipes you can find on the internet, choose that suit your taste.


How to Cook Brown Rice


Soak the rice in water for a minimum of 30 minutes. You can even keep them soaked overnight to soften the grains.


Below are 2 easy methods of cooking brown rice:


1. Pressure Cooker:

Start off by adding 2 cups of water for 1 cup of brown organic rice and salt to taste. Close the pressure cooker and allow it cook on high. Let the whistle blow for about 10 minutes and then turn off the heat. Carefully and slowly, let the steam out and let rice sit around for few minutes. Open the cooker lid and fluff out the rice.


2. Pot:

1 and 3/4 cup of water to 1 cup of brown rice. Turn the heat on and boil the water with salt to taste. Add the rice and allow the water to boil through. Turn the heat to low and allow it to cook for 45 minutes without the lid until the water is completely absorbed by the grains.
