Use: Optimal for Basmati White/Brown, Long Grain White/Brown, Or Himalayan
1 1/2 cups rice of your choice
2.5 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic
2 1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
Zest of one lime
Juice of 1 and a half lime
1 cup lightly packed chopped cilantro leaves
Add oil to pan.
Once heated (on medium-high heat), add rice.
Allow rice to brown. Sit in rice to thoroughly coat with the oil. Keep stirring to avoid rice burning or sticking to the bottom.
Add in minced garlic.
Stir for about a minute or so to allow the garlic to infuse with the rice.
Add in water, salt, and lime zest.
Bring water to a boil and wait for water to boil down.
When water is boiled down and is below rice, bring heat to low and cover pot.
Allow it to cook undisturbed for about 12-15 minutes.
Turn off heat.
Uncover and fluff with a fork.
Add in lime juice and cilantro.
Mix thoroughly and enjoy.
