Basics of cooking organic basmati white rice:
Ratio of rice to water is 1:2
A pinch of salt to taste
Any additional herbs desired.
Instructions to basmati rice recipe:
Rise the rice thoroughly.
Once rinsed, allow it to soak for a minimum of 30 minutes. This will allow the grains to begin to fluff up a bit.
Add water to saucepan and a pinch of salt.
Allow it to come to a boil.
Once boiling, add rice to the pan.
Let it cook on medium-high until the water boils down.
The water boils down, cover the pan with a lid and let it cook on low for about 10-15 minutes.
Once it is done, turn off the heat and let it sit for an additional few minutes with the lid on for it to steam.
Once done, fluff with a fork, serve, and enjoy!
You can store the rice in refrigerator for 3 to 5 days and it kept frozen for up to 1 month.
