Up your crouton game with these rice croutons to go with your soups or salads!
Prep Time: 5 min. Cook Time: 30 min. Total Time: 35 min. Servings: 4
Use: Basmati White & Brown, Long Grain White & Brown, & Himalayan Nature
1 cup rice
2 cups water
Salt to taste
2-3 tbsp. oil of choice.
Seasoning options: Garlic Powder, Chaat Masala, Lemon Pepper, etc..
Boil/cook the rice as you would with salt to taste.
Prepare a pan with parchment paper
Once the rice is cooked, strain out the water and lay it out on the pan as you would batter.
Sprinkle on your seasoning of choice.
Allow the rice to dry out.
Once the rice is cooled off, cut the rice into crouton sized squares.
In a sautee' pan, add oil of choice.
Fry the rice until lightly brown and crispy on both sides.
Enjoy as an addition to your salad, soup, or a snack!
